About the Role

The Advocacy and Communications Manager, APAC will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive advocacy strategy to maximize impact and drive the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology.

  • Develop and execute a strategic advocacy plan aligned with the organization's priorities
  • Lead the development of communications materials and collateral to support the advocacy effort
  • Identify and stay up-to-date on relevant policy developments within the region
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and members to advance the organization's goals
  • Support the development of reports and other materials that highlight the organization's progress
  • Identify opportunities to engage with stakeholders and design effective communication strategies
  • Manage external relationships and build strategic partnerships
  • Educate stakeholders through workshops and other forums
  • Promote the organization's work through media outreach and events
  • Plan and manage key events and forums

This role requires a strong understanding of policy development at an Australian state and federal level, as well as knowledge of the energy and climate change landscape and CCS fundamentals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to articulate complex issues in a compelling way for various audiences.
