Leadership Opportunity

Support individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals by leading a team of behaviour support practitioners.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a skilled professional to lead a small team and deliver high-quality services to people with disabilities.

As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching your team, reviewing positive behaviour support plans, and ensuring that the service meets the needs of our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding and coaching Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSPs) to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Reviewing and developing positive behaviour support plans in collaboration with BSPs.
  • Mentoring and supporting BSPs to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Leading regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Working closely with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Completed degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or similar.
  • Proven experience in leading or mentoring teams in the human services sector.
  • Strong understanding of good clinical practice and the context in which Behaviour Support is provided.
  • Knowledge of contemporary practices and philosophies in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Excellent administration and computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
