SMSF Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SMSF accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of practical experience in accounting and tax compliance for SMSF clients.

This is a challenging role that involves managing a portfolio of SMSF clients, providing expert advisory services, and ensuring compliance across all aspects of SMSF administration.

  • Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply your strong knowledge of SMSF regulations and compliance requirements to deliver accurate outcomes.
  • Assist in delivering practical and strategic advice on SMSF matters including contributions, pensions, and investment strategies.
  • Build on your client-facing experience by liaising confidently with clients, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Partners, Directors, and Managers in a supportive team environment.

This role offers the opportunity to continue progressing with your CA qualifications and take advantage of frequent training opportunities, both technical and practical.

Requirements
  • Proven practical experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and tax compliance for SMSF clients.
  • Client engagement & communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency: Solid working knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance, with experience in preparing SMSF accounts and tax returns.
  • Team collaboration & leadership: A team player who contributes to a positive culture and experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Professional integrity & accountability: A reliable and ethical approach to work.
  • Organisation & problem solving: Strong time management and organisational skills.
