Catholic Early EdCare is seeking an experienced cook to join our team at Star of the Sea - Long day care. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children from 6 weeks to 6 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional guidelines set by the centre.
- Ensure all meals are prepared in a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
- Manage kitchen supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to create meal plans and menus.
- Engage with children in a friendly and positive manner, promoting healthy eating habits.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or similar setting.
- Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Certification in Food Handling and Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
