Cook - Wondunna

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at Star of the Sea LDC & Kindy. As a permanent part-time Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy and balanced meals for children from babies to kindergarten age.

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks that meet the dietary requirements and cultural preferences of our children.
• Ensure all meals meet the nutritional guidelines set by the centre and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Manage kitchen supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed, and collaborate with staff to create meal plans and menus.
• Engage with children in a friendly and positive manner, promoting healthy eating habits and participating in centre events and activities as required.

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a childcare or similar setting, with knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Certification in Food Handling and Safety and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive and energetic attitude.
