Key Responsibilities

This role involves leading the strategy and growth of our life insurance business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, building and maintaining key partnerships with employers, trustees, and health providers, driving continuous improvement across underwriting, claims, and operations, overseeing our technology roadmap, data platform, and reporting systems, and managing reinsurance arrangements to ensure alignment with risk appetite and governance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial strategy development and implementation, budget management, partnership building, operational transformation, and data analysis. They will also have experience in managing large-scale projects, working with cross-functional teams, and driving business outcomes through strategic decision-making.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in commercial strategy development and implementation in an insurance or financial services environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience in managing large budgets and making strategic decisions that balance financial impact with long-term outcomes.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field would be highly regarded.
