Perioperative Sterilization Technician Role
">This role is focused on the effective management of perioperative sterilization processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
">- Develop and implement appropriate cleaning methods, disinfecting agents, and procedures on surgical instrumentation to maintain optimal levels of sterility.
- Process equipment for transfer to an external sterilizing unit as required.
- Collaborate with the perioperative clinical team in delivering clinical care under the direction and supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses when necessary.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of surgical instruments and packaging techniques to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Implement all sterilization procedures according to accepted principles and guidelines.
- Process endoscopic equipment for multi-use purposes in accordance with established protocols.
- Store sterilized items appropriately to preserve sterility and maximize access and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

- Work collaboratively with the perioperative team to provide high-quality patient care.
