We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to showcase their advanced clinical skills in a culturally diverse community.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enhance their clinical and leadership skills within a strong and diverse team culture.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment, and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
In this role, you will respond to all contacts made to Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service (Eastern Region), identify the nature and appropriateness of referrals, set priorities for management, collate information for presentation at intake meetings, and coordinate emergency responses within the region.
You will also liaise with government and non-government service providers to coordinate the provision of Mental Health Services to clients and provide educational support to those agencies. Additionally, you will undertake senior level projects, represent the service, and provide consultation at the state level as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment, and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders
- Knowledge of Adult and Senior Mental Health service delivery systems
- Skills in applying the National Standards for Mental Health Services at the organisational level and in clinical practice
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multidisciplinary team and ability to work as an independent practitioner
- Knowledge and ability to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014
- Clinical leadership skills including skills in providing clinical supervision, line management, and performance development with supervised staff
This is a permanent full-time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team and will be able to work effectively and efficiently in this environment.
