This opportunity combines Sales and Operations under one leadership role, requiring tenacity to ensure efficient branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales activity to achieve business objectives by identifying new business opportunities
  • Monitor and manage labour and overtime for the Eastern Victoria branch, suggesting areas for improvement
  • Manage HR issues and perform performance reviews for all Operations and Counter Sales personnel
  • Deliver a consistent and engaging customer experience, ensuring team members understand quality service importance
  • Oversight of counter sales, logistics, and warehousing activities to ensure timely product delivery according to Inventory KPIs
  • Lead, develop, and drive team performance through effective people management strategies, fostering high engagement levels
  • Ensure regular performance conversations, providing constructive feedback, support, guidance, and coaching across employees
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain quality customer service and satisfaction
  • Manage safety, quality, and store/warehouse presentation to the highest standards
  • Maintain compliance with procedures and build a strong WHS culture
  • Evaluate accuracy of inventory levels and implement efficient stock management

Requirements:

  • PREFERRED: Professional qualifications in stock control and/or logistics
  • Strong customer relationship building and expectation delivery skills
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and people leadership accountability
  • Business acumen with a proven track record in a similar role
  • Excellent customer focus with issue resolution capabilities
  • Operational background with a good understanding of logistics and warehousing processes
  • Well-developed communication skills for maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
