Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to lead our 2-3 years room at our centre. As a Diploma qualified educator, you will be responsible for providing high quality educational programs that meet the needs of children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning learning environments, setting up activities, preparing and cleaning away materials and supplies;
  • Daily/weekly planning and objectives;
  • Evaluating programming;
  • Completing regular observations on children and following these experiences up with engaging experiences;
  • Completing the room daybook;
  • Creating a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment;
  • Maintaining a high level of health & safety standards;
  • Food preparation as needed;
  • Adding to the centre's QIP; and
  • Mentoring other educators such as trainees.

You will be working closely with other educators and support staff to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. We pride ourselves on providing high quality education and care that is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development;
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC); and
  • Preferred: Current understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early childhood Education and Care Laws and Regulations and the New Assessment and Rating Process.
