Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Solutions Architect to join our team at Hearing Australia.

  • To design, develop, and deploy high-volume data applications that ingest, transform, and store data for reporting, analytics, regulatory compliance, and marketing purposes.
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, reliability, and performance of our data platforms and systems infrastructure.
  • Translate business and analytics requirements into technical solutions, leveraging expertise in data modeling, ETL applications, and scripting.
  • Develop and deploy ETL applications and scripts across various data sources and stores, ensuring seamless data integration and processing.
  • Prioritize disciplined software engineering practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and efficient coding.
  • Maintain a high level of quality in all delivered solutions, adhering to organizational standards and best practices.
About You

We're looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in data engineering and architecture. Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in computer or software engineering (Bachelor's or higher).
  • Proven experience in implementing and delivering data solutions using Azure data stack.
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise data models across cloud platforms.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working as a solution designer in the data domain.
  • Expertise in data modeling, end-to-end solution designing, and component-level understanding.
  • Extensive experience with Azure data stack technologies (ADL, ADF, Purview, Synapse, CI/CD, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark/PySQL, distributed databases, and formats.
  • Familiarity with consuming and transforming data from enterprise ecosystems.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses, data migration between on-premises to cloud and cloud to cloud.
  • Implementation of CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Real-time and batch processing experience.
  • Agile, Jenkins, Git, continuous integration/deployment familiarity.
  • Reporting tools experience – PowerBI and TM1.
