Senior Historian

Project Overview:

The Ngura Ninti project is a four-volume collection of key documents telling the story of Australian history from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

We are seeking a research professional to work with the South East regional team on the history of Lutruwita (Tasmania) from the Palawa perspective.

You will have experience working with Indigenous communities, conducting archival research, and prioritizing Indigenous well-being.

  • Consulting with Indigenous communities
  • Conducting archival research
  • Prioritizing Indigenous well-being
  • Working autonomously with direction from team leaders

To be considered for this position, you must have a higher education research qualification or equivalent qualifications, as well as experience working successfully with Palawa Community members in formal settings.
