Job Title

Bethanie, a leading not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider in Western Australia, has been welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our People team as a Payroll Officer. The primary focus will be to provide high-quality administrative and processing support for the payroll team to ensure efficient delivery of Payroll services within Bethanie.

About the Role:

  • Assist with preparation and processing of our fortnightly payroll ensuring accurate and timely payment to staff
  • Process masterfile maintenance of all payroll-related transactions in the HR system
  • Provide high-quality and timely information and advice on all payroll-related queries
  • Assist with the administration of workers' compensation and preparation of reimbursement requests to insurers
  • Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and procedures, legislative requirements, awards, and enterprise agreements

About You:

  • You have a customer service focus and take pride in de-escalating and providing positive solutions
  • Previous experience assisting with the processing of payroll in a similar-sized organisation (1500 - 2000 staff)
  • Experience in a similar role in the aged care (or related) sector will be highly regarded
  • Intermediate computing skills in MS Office suite and experience with computerised payroll and timekeeping systems such as Chris21 or iChris and RosterOn will be highly regarded
  • Good attention to detail and strong mathematical ability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Clear and concise communication skills and the ability to assist in the management of confidential data
