Student Support Services comprise a team of professionals that provide consultation, guidance, and support to schools in implementing behaviour support strategies and building capacity for responding to challenging behaviour.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Analyst to work collaboratively with Area teams to develop and implement behaviour support strategies. This role involves providing consultation and guidance to schools on evidence-based best practices for behaviour support, undertaking advanced behavioural interventions, and contributing to policy formulation on service delivery of behaviour analytic services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behaviour support strategies in collaboration with Area teams.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to schools on evidence-based best practices for behaviour support.
  • Undertake advanced behavioural interventions, including Functional Behaviour Assessments and experimental functional analyses.
  • Contribute to policy formulation on service delivery of behaviour analytic services.
  • Monitor and review support strategies to ensure fidelity.

Requirements

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • A Master's qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis from a verified course sequence as specified by the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA).
  • Experience working in schools and with children and youth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and school leadership.
  • Exceptional planning and organising skills, with an ability to be responsive and take initiative.

Mandatory Requirements

A valid Victorian Working with Children Check and full Driver's License are required for this position.
