Late Stage Collections Specialist

Job Title: Customer Support Consultant, Late-Stage Collections Case Manager
About the Role:
- Manage non-performing retail asset portfolios by applying legal recovery processes and procedures to high-risk customers and accounts.
- Ensure effective arrears recovery and aid in getting accounts back to performing by recommending and applying appropriate collection strategies.
- Identify customers experiencing Financial Hardship and make appropriate referrals based on the customers circumstances and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve successful arrears recovery through strategic decision-making and timely execution of debt recovery plans.
- Analyse delinquency reasons and causes for high-risk customers and accounts, taking prompt action to maximise recovery of arrears.
- Develop and implement customised recovery strategies for individual customer circumstances, including provisioning and write-offs.
- Issue statutory notices, liaise with insolvency administrators and instruct mercantile agents for field calls.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and prompt response to enquiries.
- Recommend process improvements and procedural enhancements to leadership.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in collections and retail recoveries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective first call resolution techniques for customer complaints.
- Sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing Retail Recoveries.
