Job Description

The Chaplain role is to provide pastoral care and support to staff through a variety of means, including prayer, referrals, and care. This role requires building strong relationships with staff and upholding the values and mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing pastoral care to staff
  • Building relationships with staff
  • Upholding organizational values and mission
  • Visiting centres once a term and providing reports to the Executive Director
  • Creating documents on key areas of support and completing administrative tasks
  • Providing information on external support services and enhancing a positive workplace culture
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A current Police Check
  • Own transport
Skills and Experiences

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Theology
  • Previous experience in a ministry or pastoral role
  • Essential skills include minimum cert IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, strong foundation in Christian Faith, and effective written and oral communication skills
