Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our team of housekeeping professionals to deliver exceptional cleanliness and service standards to our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day supervision of the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve housekeeping processes and procedures, resulting in increased productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination, ensuring that all guest needs are met.
  • Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to ensure that all housekeeping team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service quality, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet Accor's Premium hotel standards.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of new housekeeping team members, ensuring that all new hires meet the required standards and qualifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all housekeeping materials and equipment are of the highest quality and meet our standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a hotel environment, preferably in a housekeeping role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Experience with Opera and HUB OS is highly desirable.
