Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our team of housekeeping professionals to deliver exceptional cleanliness and service standards to our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day supervision of the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve housekeeping processes and procedures, resulting in increased productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination, ensuring that all guest needs are met.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide feedback to ensure that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service quality, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet Accor's premium standards.
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of new housekeeping team members, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of housekeeping operations, including inventory management and linen supplies.

Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a hotel environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Experience with Opera and HUB OS is highly desirable.
