About the Role

Central Coast Council seeks a Horticulturist Crew Leader to oversee landscape maintenance, improvement and construction of parks and reserves. The successful candidate will manage a team of horticulturists to achieve high standards of service delivery.

  • This is a senior management role involving staff allocation, resource utilization and adopting best practices for cost-effective service provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of horticulturists in maintaining and enhancing community landscapes.
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with a 9 day fortnight roster.
  • Utilize a tool-of-trade vehicle provided by Central Coast Council.

Requirements

A relevant Certificate III qualification in Horticulture/Parks and Gardens or related field is essential. A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and Class C Drivers Licence are also required. The ideal candidate will possess experience in supervising teams within the Horticulture/Parks and Gardens Maintenance industry.

  • Effective leadership skills and ability to motivate team members.
  • Proven track record in managing budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Experience with horticulture equipment and tools.
