Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Transaction Solutions Specialist to join our high-performing team in Sydney. This role will provide an opportunity to work with professionals and brokers on Australian-based M&A transactions with a global reach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing significant M&A projects, reading and checking sale and purchase agreements, negotiating policy terms, and producing reports. In return, you will be mentored from an experienced leader who will ensure your transition into Aon and the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading clients through the process of transferring their transactional liability risk, managing relationships up to C-suite executives
  • Pro-actively establishing new relationships to develop income opportunities
  • Identifying and bringing online new projects within the current client portfolio
  • Building/maintaining a network of relationships within the insurance market
  • Liaising with underwriters and internal stakeholders to deliver optimised go-to-market strategies
  • Drafting, proof-reading, and producing high-quality reports
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A law/commerce degree and legal/finance/accounting background with a substantial focus on M&A
  • Experience working in a professional services or law firm
  • Experience with corporate taxation would be highly valued but is not required
  • Outstanding client management capabilities, which includes attracting, retaining, and growing clients
  • A keen entrepreneurial spirit and flair for business development
  • Analytical abilities and experience drafting proposals and documentation
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of projects and relationships
  • Willingsness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
