We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant at St Vincent's Care Services. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily needs and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the care team to create and implement individualized care plans that promote resident autonomy and dignity.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in resident condition or behavior to the care team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in aged care.
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualifications.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, with residential aged care experience highly regarded.
- Availability to work 3 shifts per week.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with AutumnCare (or similar software) and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Understanding of aged care principles, resident rights, and responsibilities.
- National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check (may be required).
