Cellar Hand Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cellar Hand to join our team and assist in all aspects of winemaking, from fruit delivery and processing to wine fermentation and bottling.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in a similar role and a passion for high-quality cool climate wine.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in fruit delivery and processing procedures
  • Participate in sparkling, white, and red wine fermentation management
  • Perform cellar operations including additions, rackings, transfers, and filtration
  • Conduct lab work for fruit maturity testing and other related tasks
  • Manage barrels and prepare wines for bottling and tirage
  • Operate the bottling and tirage line
  • Maintain cellar cleanliness and presentation to a high standard
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role with multiple vintages under your belt
  • A graduate of a university winemaking program or equivalent experience
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to show initiative, work unsupervised, and multi-task
  • A flexible approach to work with an understanding of the demands of vintage
  • Experience working with bottling and packaging lines
  • Physical ability to safely carry hoses, lift crates/boxes, move barriques, puncheons, etc.
  • Awareness of workplace health and safety and a willingness to promote it
  • Pleasure in working with and maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Current Australian forklift and driver's license
