Role OverviewThe Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist is pivotal in maintaining our cybersecurity assurance frameworks and initiatives, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of our digital services in accordance with our Cyber Security Policy frameworks, including ISO 27001/27701, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and SOC2. This role involves overseeing penetration testing, vulnerability management, and user access reviews.
You will also manage both internal and external audits to mitigate risks and collaborate with various business units to enhance risk reduction strategies. Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks to the organization’s information systems, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Security Policies: Develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the secure management and operation of information systems.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards concerning cybersecurity and privacy, in consultation with our panel of privacy and security experts.
- Incident Management: Maintain and test response plans for detecting, addressing, and recovering from cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
- Continuous Monitoring: Oversee and consistently monitor our Vanta solution to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Vulnerability Oversight: Schedule regular independent penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, ensuring timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
- Training Initiatives: Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices, potential threats, and their roles in maintaining organizational security.
- Vendor Management: Ensure third-party vendors and partners comply with the organization’s cybersecurity requirements, preventing additional risks.
- Auditing: Coordinate regular internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of security and privacy controls, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to improve and implement security measures, staying informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Collaborate closely with the COO, Technology Services, Information Security Manager, security and privacy vendors, and other departments within Askable.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and SOC2.
- Familiarity with privacy frameworks and standards, including ISO27701 and NIST Privacy Framework.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly advantageous.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced setting.
