Cybersecurity Threat Management Specialist

As a Cybersecurity Threat Management Specialist, you will leverage your technical expertise to ensure the highest standards of service delivery in the following key areas:
- Monitoring, Detection, and Alerting Systems
- Incident Response
- Technical Investigations
- Hunting Activities
- Threat Intelligence
- Automation and Orchestration
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective monitoring and detection of incidents and threats by maintaining system logs, tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms
- Rapidly respond to and remediate security incidents, collaborating with other teams as necessary
- Perform comprehensive technical investigations by leveraging deep technical knowledge of technology systems
- Develop and maintain a robust threat hunting framework to identify and report on suspicious activities within Vero Insurance
- Manage and enhance the Threat Intelligence capability, including tooling and information guidelines, to enable timely detection and identification of threats
- Oversee the Automation and Orchestration capability to streamline cybersecurity processes, ensuring faster and more accurate responses
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on technical IT experience is mandatory, with substantial experience in leading incident responses
- In-depth knowledge and commercial experience with logging and analysis tools (e.g., SIEM, network/packet capture, endpoint detection and response), security incident management tools, and threat intelligence platforms
- Specialised knowledge of the tools, tactics, techniques, and processes used by attackers, along with a strong grasp of threat landscape trends
- Proficiency with automation and orchestration tools to enhance cybersecurity processes, ensuring efficient and accurate threat detection and response
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams, provide coaching and feedback, negotiate outcomes, and resolve conflicts
- High energy and results-driven, capable of working independently and within a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines
