Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) to identify capability gaps and inform training solutions.">
  • Design, develop, and evaluate instructional material aligned to Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) methodology.">
  • Deliver high-quality training programs in both face-to-face and blended environments.">
  • Utilise Defence LMS and LCMS systems to manage and track learning content.">
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across services to ensure training outcomes are aligned with Defence capability objectives.">
  • Apply agile project management principles in training development initiatives.">
  • Support the integration of simulation systems and digital learning technologies into courseware.">
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.">
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering Defence-related education and training is also required.">
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SADL and contemporary Defence training methodologies is necessary.">
  • Proven experience across instructional design, course delivery, and training evaluation is expected.">
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to Defence and joint environments are essential.">
  • Operational experience with Defence LMS/LCMS platforms is needed.">
  • Understanding of simulation-based training and blended learning delivery is required.">

Desirable Qualifications:

  • ">
  • NV2 Security Clearance is preferred.">
  • 15+ years' experience in complex Defence or joint-service education environments is desirable.">
  • A Master's degree in adult education, workforce development, or related field is highly regarded.">
  • Experience with simulation systems and other emerging training technologies is valuable.">
  • Familiarity with agile project methodologies in Defence or Government projects is an advantage.">
  • Understanding of RAAF training continua and Defence workforce planning frameworks is beneficial.">

Work Location & Travel

">

This role is based in Canberra, with regular domestic travel to Mawson Lakes (Adelaide), and potential short-term travel to Newcastle and Darwin.
