Senior Physical Security Consultant

As a highly motivated and talented Physical Security Specialist, you will collaborate with our team to design secure facilities that maximize the effectiveness of our physical security program.
The key duties include designing and engineering extra-low voltage systems, working closely with architectural and engineering teams to ensure adherence to security best practices, drafting new system designs into build plans, and coordinating with physical security leaders to understand new build and security system designs. You will be responsible for interpreting risk assessments and threat analysis, as well as physical security standards, to ensure the proper security technologies are selected to meet unique challenges in a sensitive security program.
This role requires providing in-depth security advice on the physical security architecture for the organization. You will draw upon your strong knowledge and skills to lead the physical security architecture elements on a sensitive program, create and communicate detailed physical security system designs and guidance to ensure compliance with government policies and frameworks, and subject matter expertise to support security leadership and other security teams with a focus on physical security.
You will also manage and implement physical security risk, threat, and vulnerability deliverables, prepare executive-level presentation packs, briefings, papers, and reports to various internal and external governance bodies and stakeholders, develop protective security policies, procedures, processes, guidelines, forms, and templates relating to protective security and day-to-day protective security operations, identify vulnerable processes and systems, and provide advice and support for the remediation of security risks and reduce exposure to security threats.
A successful candidate will hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance. Engineers in this role must demonstrate exemplary judgment in making technical trade-offs between short versus long-term security and business goals, navigate difficult situations with composure and tact, and regularly analyze their own performance with a critical eye.
