Job DescriptionThis Theatre Technician role involves supporting Perioperative Services at Epworth Freemasons, working on a flexible schedule that can accommodate different lifestyles. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the operating suite by providing quality service with patient care, equipment handling, and transport services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting clinicians with necessary tasks.
- Maintaining high standards of equipment preparation and upkeep within the operating suite.
- Transporting patients safely and efficiently within the operating suite and between departments.
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate a genuine interest in delivering exceptional patient experiences, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Certificate III in Theatre Technician qualification or higher.
- A minimum of 12 months' clinical experience as a theatre technician in an acute operating theatre environment.
- A clear understanding and application of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with setting up and using medical devices.
