Job Overview

Casual Operating Theatre Technician, Grade 2 - 4

This position plays a crucial role in the multidisciplinary perioperative team. As a theatre technician, you are accountable for performing all assigned tasks to provide excellence in patient care, technical support, and ensuring the effective functioning of the Operating Suite.

The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Health (Theatre Technician) or equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of one year's experience as a theatre technician. Additionally, they should have excellent trouble shooting skills, technical knowledge of equipment, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Package:

The classification for this position ranges from IN8 - IN10, offering a competitive hourly rate of $33.27 - $37.19 per hour, plus casual loading.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of required resources and equipment for procedures in the Operating Theatre.
  2. Excellent trouble shooting skills and technical knowledge of equipment in the Theatre.
  3. Patient preparation and care including safe transportation and positioning of the patient.
  4. Effective Housekeeping management to maintain a clean environment with necessary equipment.
