About the Role

The Australian Sports Commission is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the daily preparation and presentation of its facilities, with a key focus on the AIS Arena. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standards in occupational health and safety, risk management, reporting, venue appearance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the AIS Arena, including event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and venue preparation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution, including logistics, marketing, and security.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including attendance, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including event organizers, sponsors, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in venue operations, event management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
