Senior Project Manager

About the Role:
The Suburban Rail Loop Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing on-site engineering functions, monitoring quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, and coordinating the activities of an engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site engineering functions through subordinates, including Project Engineers and Cost/Planning Engineers.
- Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions, and arrange corrections or modifications as necessary.
- Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, program workloads, and provide technical and administrative guidance to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved.
- Accurately forecast costs and revenue, and utilize corrective action in line with the company's authority and reporting frameworks to maximize profit margins.
- Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders, and subcontractor arrangements.
- Participate in planning future requirements, including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant, and labor, and direct site surveys and preparatory work prior to construction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably site-based.
- Demonstrated experience in HV/LV reticulation and distribution systems, ITS, road/tunnel lighting systems, and Control Systems design, installation, and commissioning.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Construction Management, and Science, etc.
- Experience using Aconex, Bluebeam would be preferred.
- Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects, tunnelling, and/or open road-specific experience.
