Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a clinical professional to join our team in Sydney. As a community pharmacist, you will advise on medication, communicate with injured workers and doctors, and collaborate with prescribers to ensure safe and appropriate treatment.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and implement strategies to optimise medication and treatment management.
- Clinical Expertise: Assess high-risk medication use and provide clinical opinions on treatment strategies.
- Liaison and Negotiation: Liaise with treatment providers to negotiate medication types, dosages, and utilisation.
- Education and Training: Educate injured workers, employers, and stakeholders on medication use and risks.
- Referral Services: Identify the need for and refer to external services like Pharmacy Reviews or Independent Medical Examinations.
- Operational Support: Provide training and support to operational team members on medication management best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is an essential qualification for this role.
- Current registration in your professional field.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical practice.
- Well-established knowledge of disability and injury management best practice.
- An understanding and experience in the personal injury industry, ideally with knowledge of workers compensation legislation would be highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
