Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Plan, recruit, and allocate resources to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide governance and monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and issues
  • Support collation and review of technical bid responses and engineering estimates
  • Architect hardware solutions to support bid responses and ensure modern, maintainable solutions
  • Ensure adherence to design standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, electronics, or related field
  • Extensive experience in hardware development with expertise in electronics and PCB design
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing hardware development teams
  • Registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland required, Engineers Australia CPEng preferred
  • Strong technical background and knowledge in hardware design principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proficiency in hardware design tools and software, such as Altium, Xpedition, Cadence, or similar tools
