Job Title: Business Director

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategy and revenue growth plans to achieve organisational goals.

  • Business Growth Strategy: Develop and implement business strategy and revenue growth plans for the Queensland business to achieve organisational goals and agreed outcomes.
  • Project Delivery: Lead project delivery and team performance, ensuring excellence in resourcing, utilisation, and margin management.
  • Talent Management: Inspire and guide your team with clear direction and purpose.
  • Client Acquisition: Responsible for winning work and achieving net revenue and backlog targets, with support from leaders and staff.
  • Cross-Selling: Foster collaboration across Business Centres with a focus on cross-selling nationally to consistently win new work with clients.
  • Culture Champion: Champion a high-performance culture focused on talent, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive quality and timely delivery of projects that exceed client expectations.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture client relationships, lead major projects, and drive strategic pursuits.
  • Safety Culture: Promote a proactive safety culture in partnership with our HSSE leadership.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Environmental Science / Engineering, or a related technical degree are required. 15 years of senior-level experience in environmental services, proven leadership skills, strong commercial acumen, significant project delivery experience, effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, exceptional client relationship and stakeholder management skills underpinned by deep knowledge of QLD's environmental services market are also required.
