Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a member of our small, agile security team, you will play a key role in integrating our newly acquired security tools and managing our cyber operations.

About the Role:

This 12-month fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to work with an enterprise organization, bringing your expertise in security operations and tool management to support our cyber function. You will be responsible for administering and managing our SaaS and cloud-based tools, implementing and maintaining security services, responding to vulnerabilities, and working closely with vendors to improve our cyber posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer our cyber toolsets, including Netskope, R7, and CrowdStrike
  • Implement and maintain security services and tools to ensure up-to-date cybersecurity and mitigate risks
  • Respond to vulnerabilities and manage vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborate with vendors to enhance our cyber hygiene and posture
  • Assist with coordinating pen tests with external vendors

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need prior experience in a security operations environment, broad technical knowledge, and a good understanding of security frameworks like NIST, E8, and ISO27k. Familiarity with agile ways of working and application security concepts is also desirable.
