Heavy Equipment Trainer

Hastings Deering is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team as a Technical Trainer, providing career growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.
This permanent role will involve developing and delivering training programs across our branches in NT and QLD, ensuring a safe and positive learning experience for all participants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and maintaining high-quality training materials
- Fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning atmosphere, protecting the Hastings Deering brand and reputation
- Crafting logistical plans for printing, transportation, facilities, travel arrangements, and inductions to ensure excellent outcomes
- Researching, designing, and maintaining training aids, visual materials, and other resources to enhance the learning experience
- Serving as a role model, embodying oneHD values and behaviors both internally and externally

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in heavy equipment operation or a related field
- Flexibility to travel
- A Certificate III in Heavy Earthmoving (MEM or AUR or Trade Equivalent)
- A minimum of 2-5 years post-trade experience in surface or underground mining, construction, and heavy earthmoving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
