We are seeking a seasoned Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer to join our QLD Logistics team at Boral. As a key member of our Quarries and Cement division, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training programs and activities to enhance the skills of Boral employees and contractors.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity reporting to the Logistics Manager for SEQ Tippers and based at our Logistics Depot at Wacol in SEQ. To support the geographic range of this position, candidates must have the flexibility to travel to sites located across Metro and Regional Queensland. To facilitate your success, we will provide you with a Tool of Trade vehicle, phone, and laptop.

About Your Daily Responsibilities

  • Conducting Heavy Vehicle Driver inductions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Undertaking verification of competency training and assessment to maintain accurate records.
  • Training and coaching of Heavy Vehicle Drivers on operating and safe work procedures, defensive driving techniques, and refresher training.
  • Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the driver training, assessment, and record-keeping process.
  • Analyzing driver behavior data from our IVMS system and other reporting tasks as required.

We're Looking for Someone with:

  • Strong experience as a Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer or a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in operating various heavy vehicles, including semis, truck and dogs, and B Doubles, ideally within the construction industry.
  • A minimum HC license, with an MC license preferred.
  • A Cert IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to obtain it.
