The Director of Wellbeing and Safety is a critical role in our organisation, responsible for leading the development and implementation of comprehensive wellbeing and safety strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the creation of a healthy and inclusive workplace culture. Our Director will be instrumental in ensuring that our organisation has the systems, processes and policies in place to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all employees.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading wellbeing and safety functions in complex and dynamic environments. They will possess expert knowledge of work health and safety legislation and governance frameworks, with the ability to apply them in innovative and practical ways.
We are seeking a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating and sustaining collaborative working relationships, fostering trust, inclusion and shared ownership of outcomes.
The Director of Wellbeing and Safety will lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to deliver innovative wellbeing and safety initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive wellbeing and safety strategies;
- Establishing inclusive, evidence-based wellbeing and safety systems, policies and practices;
- Advising leaders on psychosocial risks, legislative changes and risk management strategies;
- Leading, mentoring and growing a high-performing team;
- Championing a healthy workplace culture through strategic planning, policy oversight and operational excellence;
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience leading wellbeing and safety functions in large, complex and dynamic environments;
- Expert knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation, risk management and governance frameworks;
- Demonstrated ability to create and sustain collaborative working relationships;
- Strong capability in leveraging digital tools, data analytics and assurance processes;
- A record of building, mentoring and leading high-performing teams;
