About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at our Northshore Mineral Sand Plant in Bunbury. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment, pumps, piping, compressors, elevators, and conveyor equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Identify and report defects and suggest improvements to existing plant equipment, methods, and procedures.
- Provide a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and ensure a high standard of workmanship is carried out.
- Complete all documentation to a high standard to ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into Tronox's Maintenance Systems.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Mechanical Trade Certificate - Fitting (essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical Maintainer role, including experience with Process Plants, Pumps, Structural, Mechanical, and Piping works within the Mining industry (highly desired)
- Current C Class Drivers' Licence unrestricted (essential)
- Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems
- Team orientated approach to your work while possessing the ability to work independently if required
- Have solid decision making skills
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
