ICT Lecturer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ICT lecturer to join our team. As a lecturer in Information and Communications Technology, you will be responsible for the delivery of face-to-face and online teaching of post-graduate courses.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Class preparation, including designing engaging lesson plans and materials;
  • The delivery of lectures, tutorials, practicals, workshops, and assessments;
  • Course coordination, including marking and compiling assignments and examinations;
  • Contribution to curriculum development, new modules, and course material;
  • Teaching innovation at SCI, including exploring and implementing different teaching methods and assessments.

You will also contribute to teaching innovation at SCI and may undertake research into pedagogy in business education.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science, ICT, or a relevant discipline;
  • Sound knowledge in a field of business and professional experience in the field of ICT;
  • Keep abreast of contemporary developments in the field of ICT and in the fields of education and training;
  • Proven ability, commitment, and passion for engaging in ongoing scholarly activities to inform pedagogical theory and practice;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • A demonstrated ability in course design, as appropriate to the field of ICT;
  • Evidence of sustained and significant contributions in lecturing and tutoring;
  • Ability to improvise and adapt to new demands;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • A demonstrated ability to show initiative in both independent and team-based decision making;
  • A demonstrated ability to interact productively with other academic staff.

Desirable:

  • A teaching qualification;
  • Demonstrated ability in curriculum development in graduate courses;
  • Proven proficiency in the use of learning management systems.
