About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team in Malaga, WA. As a key member of our Data Centre Operations team, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 support services to our clients, visitors, contractors, and other data centre roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escorting and dedicated supervision of clients and visitors
  • Ad-hoc requests and remote hands support
  • Goods receiving and collection
  • Equipment movement and staging
  • Tape management and operational support
  • Monitoring of BMS, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Updating remote hands workflow and performing routine tasks in Fujitsu DC Management systems
  • Generating client and environmental reports
  • Actioning transition to zero alarms and monitoring DC mailbox
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a data centre environment, preferably in facilities maintenance, security, and/or implementation activities
  • Hands-on network experience, including physical level cabling and data comms
  • Experience with telco services and physical delivery methods
  • Experience in high availability data centre environments with critical SLAs
  • Experience in installing rack mounting servers and IT equipment
Technical Competencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to navigate and operate onsite BMS systems
  • Understanding of critical site mechanical and electrical infrastructure in high availability environments
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including backup media management, cabling infrastructure, and rack installations
  • Knowledge of site node room functions and telco infrastructure
