The Department of Health and Aged Care has established a communications capability that provides strategic advice and support for the department's activities, aiming to promote healthy living and safety among Australians.
As a communications graduate, you will be part of an exciting environment that offers comprehensive communications services to the department and its ministers. The communication branches serve as the primary point of contact for staff requiring communications advice and assistance.
The three communication branches are: Communications and Change Branch, Public Information Branch, and Aged Care Communications and Change Branch. These branches deliver targeted communications strategies, products, and services to raise awareness about health, aged care, and sports policies and programs.
You will be part of the 2027 Graduate Program, which includes:
- A thorough induction to the program and the department
- Two diverse placements within the department
- An inclusive, flexible, and healthy work environment with generous leave conditions
You will have access to specialized communication training, on-the-job training, and mentoring from senior practitioners.
To be eligible for this position, you need to hold a degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, journalism, business, design, or a related field.
