As a Senior Corporate Lawyer - Property and Infrastructure at Aurizon, you will be part of a high-performing Legal team that delivers commercially driven legal advice.
The successful candidate will work closely with lawyers and paralegals to advise on property, land tenure, leasing, licencing, cultural heritage, native title, real estate, and infrastructure projects.
You will also support the development and implementation of improved business efficiencies through continuous improvement, innovation, and initiatives in the delivery of the legal function and across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality and commercially focussed legal advice to protect the organisation's interests on a day-to-day basis, including advising on property, land tenure, and infrastructure matters;
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to support all aspects of the organisation's business;
- Interact with and manage external legal advisors where necessary;
- Support the development and implementation of improved business efficiencies;
We are looking for a motivated and experienced lawyer who can identify and address potential legal and regulatory issues facing Aurizon.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property and infrastructure law, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
