About the Role

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to support the financial operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance department, strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reconciliations: Timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, creditors, and month-end journals.
  • Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy through strong analytical skills.
  • Expense Management: Manage employee and third-party expense processes while ensuring compliance and offering user support.
  • Vendor Setup: Oversee vendor setup and contribute to process improvements in creditor management.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Assist in preparing taxation and regulatory reporting (e.g. BAS, FBT, AoNZ GST).

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in a finance department within a medium-sized organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
