Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to take on the role of Food Safety Specialist.

This individual will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, working in a dynamic environment with rotating shifts to drive compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement of product quality and process through hands-on factory focused work.
  • Ensure that all compliance activities meet the required standards of our food safety management system.
  • Assist with online verification and validation activities.
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality standards on site.
  • Work rotating shifts covering factory operational hours.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders on site.
  • Investigate customer complaints, foreign objects finds, food safety and quality non-conformances.
  • Assist during audits to achieve zero major or critical non-conformances.
  • Conduct internal audits of factory processes.
  • Coordinate and conduct site-testing in accordance with schedules, reporting out of spec results to site and completing corrective actions.
  • Perform product and process assessments and provide solutions for quality issues.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science or similar is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety systems and standards (e.g. HACCP and BRC).
  • Previous experience working within food manufacturing is advantageous.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible and available to work rotating shifts.
