Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to lead our mechanical design team and manage the delivery aspects of large and complex integrated systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, proven experience in project management and leadership, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • This role involves coordinating and allocating tasks, attending sales and project review meetings, developing system designs and layouts, managing design schedules and work orders, and liaising with architects, builders, consultants, and purchasing teams.

  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for checking and approving drawings, calculations, and technical documentation, as well as providing technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design team on assigned projects, including coordinating and allocating tasks.

  • Attend sales and project review meetings.

  • Develop system designs and layouts.

  • Manage design schedule, budget, and work orders.

  • Liaise with project managers, architects, builders, consultants, and purchasing teams.

  • Check and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

  • Provide technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees.

  • Assist with system commissioning and testing.
