The Role

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a skilled Service Planning and Disruptions Officer to support the processing of service disruptions and plan for special events. The successful candidate will coordinate administrative, resourcing, and logistic requirements to facilitate planned service disruptions throughout the metropolitan area.

In this position, you will assist with reviews of existing bus, train, and ferry services, conduct research, analyze data, and report on public transport trends to enable effective service planning. You will also have the opportunity to work in a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals.

About You

The successful candidate will have sound conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and evaluate information, identify trends and issues, and make recommendations. We are looking for applicants with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract management and public transport issues.
  • Proven experience delivering effective information services in a customer-focused environment.
  • Working knowledge or experience of urban and regional planning.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent or fixed-term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made.
