Senior Accountant

Job Description:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for presentation to senior executives.
  • Ensure timely completion of all financial tasks and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the finance team to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee the preparation of year-end financial statements, including supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate statutory accounts and tax payments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement effective cash receipting procedures in line with company policies.
  • Sustain a high level of accuracy in accounts payable and credit control.
  • Regularly review warranty claims and receivables from suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Professional certifications such as CA/CPA are highly valued.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
