Store Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Store Designer to join our Omni-Channel Store Planning team at David Jones. As a Store Designer, you will play a key part in the space optimisation and conceptualisation of David Jones Stores, driving and delivering inspiring designs that balance design and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Documentation: Detail and produce high-quality documentation packages and schedules for all build stages, including control plans, tender documentation, and construction documentation.
- Brand Representation: Develop and maintain standard details and library of fixtures and finishes, ensuring brand representation and the David Jones concept are well documented.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the store concept team, ensure brand representation and the David Jones concept are well documented, and maintain clear, effective, and productive communication with all members of the design team.
- Project Management: Manage and maintain master programs for all project documentation, with a proven ability to prioritise accordingly.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with brand contractors and Project Manager to ensure relevant services are coordinated as per approved design proposal.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Retail Design and Architectural principals, planning, and current construction methods.
- Skills: Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, proficiency in BCA & DDA standards, and excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Teamwork: Proven team working experience as well as the ability to work independently on tasks.
