Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Expert Leader to lead a collaborative team in the execution of all payroll related activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support in the establishment, implementation and maintenance of payroll policies, processes, documents, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant legislation;
  • Ensure timely, accurate and effective processing of all staff remuneration and entitlements including wages, superannuation, fringe benefits and payroll deductions;
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory payroll reporting and internal deadlines;
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all payroll related legislative requirements, enterprise agreements and the payroll system;
  • Lead the payroll team to achieve positive team morale, cohesiveness, innovation, contemporary learning and development in alignment with corporate culture;
  • Support the team to achieve agreed reporting deadlines by ensuring the timely completion of all processes and reconciliations;
  • Provide support to the wider finance team as required with provision of information, internal audit and external audit.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity;
  • Experience in Chris21 or Pay Global systems is highly desirable;
  • High-level understanding of accounting for payroll and ability to reconcile payroll clearing accounts;
  • Demonstrated experience in complex high-volume environments;
  • Task oriented and able to manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines;
  • Advance MS Office Suite experience, Excel included.
