The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction and Infrastructure Lawyer to join our Building and Construction Team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in construction law, with a strong background in front-end contracts and agreements, as well as back-end dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and subcontracts
- Providing advice on payments, variations, defects, delays, termination rights, insolvency insurance claims, and security payment claims
- Mediation and dispute resolution
- Legislative and regulatory requirements
- VCAT disputes and Domestic Building Act disputes
- Defective building work claims and construction law advice
- Building practitioner professional liability claims
